Batavia, NY -- An Ohio truck driver has pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in a case authorities blame on distracted driving. Authorities say the rig driven by Thomas Wallace hit the rear of a disabled car on a New York State highway while his laptop computer was streaming pornography.
The December crash killed Julie Stratton, whose car was disabled in the passing lane after she hit a deer. Authorities say Wallace also had little sleep before the crash. He faces from five to 15 years in prison when sentenced in September.
