Greensboro, NC -- Almost 130 job seekers are going to get individual advice from career coaches, counselors and other pros as part of WFMY News 2's third Passport 2 Success event Wednesday.

The event at the Greensboro Coliseum Pavilion drew more than 185 applicants for 128 spots. With unemployment more than 11 percent in Guilford County and more than 10 percent in Winston-Salem, Passport 2 Success is designed to help job seekers get the answers they need to boost their chances of finding work.

Previous Passport events in June and October 2009 also drew hundreds of job seekers looking for help. While registration for the event is closed, you can still benefit from it. Benefit To Participants

"As an adult, we don't have many chances to have sit down conversations about our career," says career coach Barbara Demarest. "So this is a great event for a career to get perspective, feedback."

That's what folks from around the Triad got today. From resume writing tips to overcoming objectives, career coaches helped those looking for some help.

"Refreshing myself on interviewing and trying to get back into the world," says Cindy Berryman.

Cindy's kids are all grown up, and after years of working at home, she's trying to get back into the work force.

"My job today is to help you overcome your obstacles," says one career coach. "What I need you to do is write one obstacle you're trying to overcome in that circle."

"I've heard back from some, but it's been hard right now," says Berryman.

She got tips from the experts in different categories; like how to write a cover letter and she takes away mental notes and homework.

"Go down your resume and highlight those accomplishments that you feel have been most in line with your passion, or has brought, for example, the most impact to the company."
