Raleigh, NC-- A North Carolina grand jury has indicted a doctor on multiple charges in connection with a wreck that killed a 20-year-old ballerina.

Raymond Dwight Cook of Raleigh was indicted Monday by a Wake County grand jury on charges of second-degree murder, careless and reckless driving and driving while impaired. Officials say the 42-year-old plastic surgeon was driving 85 mph in a 45 mph zone when he struck the car of Elena Bright Shapiro, a Winston-Salem ballerina, earlier this month. Shapiro died of her injuries.

WRAL-TV reports that a search warrant shows Cook had a blood alcohol content of .19 two hours after the crash.

Cook is out of jail on bond.
