Raleigh, NC -- Alamance County Representative Cary Allred filed a bill yesterday that would void alamance county's property revaluations.
Allred told WFMY News 2 he's concerned about the thousands of appeals of the revaluations.
He says two county commissioners asked for his advice about revaluation concerns and complaints.
April 1 was the deadline to file local bills in this legislative session, so Allred says he had no choice but to file.
He says property values have declined since the revaluation process began.
Allred wants the revaluations to take place in 2011 so property owners can get fair values.
