Reidsville, NC -- A Triad mom is rolling up her sleeves to help parents like you. Virginia Kassay says art can change autism.
Virginia Kassay unveiled her art to the community Thursday night in Reidsville. Kassay took up painting three years ago to help her autistic daughter Emily. She says the art helps emily focus and learn. And now she hopes her masterpieces will help other children.
Kassay will donate all the proceeds from her artwork to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for autism research.
Kassay's positive attitude landed her in the national spotlight. She is a finalist for the Energizer "Keep Going" hall of fame.
