GREENSBORO, NC-- A low pressure disturbance will move across the area this afternoon. This will produce a mostly cloudy sky and windy conditions today. An Arctic cold front will move through the Piedmont late Monday and usher more very cold air.
It will be mostly cloudy and windy today with a high of 41. Winds will increase from the southwest at 15-25 mph with gust to 35 mph. The high will be 41. The sky will clear this evening as lows overnight drop to near 19.
Sunday we will see a mix of sun and high clouds, especially in the afternoon. The high temperature will be 42. Monday will be partly sunny with thicker clouds in the afternoon. the high will be 45.
The Arctic cold front will move through the Piedmont late Monday. A wave of low pressure is expected to develop on the front along the North Carolina coast. This will bring extra clouds Tuesday and Wednesday. If this plays out, snow is possible over the Coastal Plain. It is too early to tell if enough moisture will spread westward to bring snow to the Triad.
One thing is for sure. Colder temperatures will arrive Monday night with a low of 16. The high Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the mid and upper 20's.
