REIDSVILLE, NC-- The first of the snow fell in Rockingham County on Tuesday evening.

The sunshine in Guilford County quickly turned to rain by Tuesday afternoon. WFMY News 2's Liz Crawford was in Rockingham County as the clouds and rain rolled in quickly along with dropping temperatures.

By 5 p.m., snowflakes mixed in with the rain. But it wasn't yet sticking. That all changed as the storm picked up and temperatures got even colder.

Cars on the lot at a dealership were coated in a dusting of snow and slush. Winds were gusty making it hard to keep your head up outside, and roads were wet and slick.

Just as quickly as the storm rolled in, things moved out. By 9 p.m. in Alamance County, it was light rainfall and wet roads.
