GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A community meeting was held Thursday night for applicants who will not be able to receive services under the City's energy efficiency grant.
Tuesday night, Barbara Harris, Better Building's program manager, told WFMY News 2 approximately 900 Greensboro residents received letters saying the City of Greensboro was going to be unable to provide energy efficiency services for their homes.
Harris said these letters were sent out due to the overwhelming interesting and limited grant funds.
Thursday night at Barber Park, contractors, lenders, Duke Energy, and non-profit organization representatives were on hand to help and give applicants more available resources.
The organizations discussed how to save energy in homes, home rehabilitation, and how to save money on your utility bills.
Anyone with any additional questions or concerns is asked to call the Better Buildings Program contact line at 336-373-2749.
