STOKES COUNTY, N.C. -- The Stokes County Sheriff's Office is investigating after an incident involving a school bus Thursday morning.
Investigators say a juvenile used a BB gun to shoot at the bus on its way to Poplar Springs Elementary. A pellet hit the back window of the bus but did not go all the way through. The school bus driver stopped on Walter Lane after noticing a commotion and then alerted authorities.
At least 18 students were on board the bus at the time but no one was injured. The kids were delayed getting to school because of the incident.
The Stokes County Sheriff's Office says the juvenile has not yet been charged in the incident, but they do plan to seek charges.
