Two People Charged In String Of Car Break-Ins In Trinity

TRINITY, N.C. -- The Randolph County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested two suspects wanted in connection with a string of car break-ins.

A Crime Stoppers' tip led investigators on Wednesday to Trinity where deputies arrested Brian Bourn, 30, and Teresa Chapman, 26, both are from the Thomasville area.

Investigators say Bourn and Chapman are connected to at least a dozen car break-ins where they stole money, electronics, tools, and debit/credit cards. They also say they broke into a work truck and stole several electrical meters and computers. The car break-ins occurred in the area of Finch Farm Road in Trinity, between the dates of January 4, 2014 - January 14, 2014.

Bourn and Chapman are charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny, Felony Possession of Stolen Goods. Both are in the Randolph County Jail on a $24,000 bond.

Investigators have uncovered at least $35,000 in stolen property from the car break-ins.
