Man Found Dead In Vehicle In Winston-Salem

Update:  Winston-Salem Police said they identified the victim as David Anthony Lowers, who lived at the home on Manchester Street.

Investigators said he also was known to use the names Mark Ross, Delroy East, and Oscar McLead.

Police tell WFMY News 2 the investigation into his murder is still ongoing. 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Police need the public's help investigating the first homicide of the year in Winston-Salem.

Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of Manchester St. on Friday evening. Once they arrived they found a dead man inside a parked vehicle in front of the residence. Police say he sustained a gun-shot wound. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

Detectives with the Winston Salem Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division are handling the case.
