LAURINBURG, N.C. -- Several members of an honor guard from Fort Bragg were critically injured Friday morning while heading to a military funeral.
According to the NC Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Laurinburg after colliding with a log truck around 10 a.m. Friday morning.
There were 10 members of the 82nd Airborne Division honor guard together in a van. Trooper John Mark says the driver didn't yield to truck. The truck hit them on the right side of their van.
Officials charged the van' s driver, Arthur Lee Horton Jr., with Failure to Yield.
