Acclaimed poet Maya Angelou reminisced Sunday morning on CBS' Face the Nation about Nelson Mandela.
Angelou talked about what the world would have been like if Nelson Mandela hadn't taken the lead against apartheid in South Africa.
"I know that with the attitudes and anger in South Africa after apartheid, had there been no Mandela we would see the blood running in the street," Angelou said.
"Nelson Mandela was release from prison and came out smiling, holding hands with whites, and holding white babies," Angelou said. "[He] said this is a time for friend ship. This is about South Africa."
