SEAGROVE, N.C.-- Deputies in Randolph County have been busy since early Friday morning investigating crimes at the same house.

According to investigators, a woman was killed by her husband at a house on Woodfern Road in Seagrove. Officers responded to a welfare call around 12:45 a.m. and found a woman's body.

After deputies wrapped up the initial murder investigation, emergency workers and fire received a call about a fire at the same home.

Deputies on the scene confirmed to WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright that the fire was at the house where the homicide investigation was conducted Friday.

Officers arrested the woman's husband, 44-year-old Joseph Levi Grantham, for his wife, Constance Olivia Grantham's murder. Deputies arrested him in some nearby woods  at 9:55 a.m.

Investigators have ruled the fire suspicious and haven't said how it is connected to the homicide.

Deputies have charged Joseph Levi Grantham in his wife's death.
