EDEN, NC-- Neighbors at Woodcrest Mobile Home Park told WFMY they were without water for more than 24 hours.
WFMY News 2 took several calls on Wednesday from neighbors in Eden who say their water was cut off for more than 24 hours.
WFMY News 2's Liz Crawford found out that roughly 70 homes were affected because of one unpaid bill.
Dan River Water told WFMY they turned the water back on around 3 p.m. on Wednesday after the water company got paid.
Neighbors at Woodcrest Mobile Home Park in Eden told WFMY they didn't have water when they woke up Tuesday but they paid their landlord for water a while ago.
Edith Hutchens said she tried to call her landlord over and over again, but the landlord never answered and never called back.
WFMY spoke to the utilities supervisor at Dan River Water.
He said the water was turned off because of a non payment.
Edith and her neighbors said they paid their water bills through their landlord.
"Couldn't do anything as far as anything you use the water for. Couldn't wash my hands, couldn't take a bath, couldn't flush the commodes, couldn't wash clothes, couldn't do any cleaning," said Edith.
The neighbors now have running water, but Edith said she still hasn't heard from her landlord.
WFMY News 2 tried all Wednesday afternoon and evening to contact that landlord. We left several messages but never got a call back.
Neighbors said there are about 70 mobile homes that were without water.
