GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Around 3:00 p.m. reports of snow flakes mixing in with the light rain starting coming in to the WFMY News 2 Information Center.
As colder air continued to usher in behind the Arctic Cold Front snow became more of a frequent sight across the Triad. Using the twitter and facebook hashtag #GotSnow, many of you helped Chief Meteorologist Grant Gilmore track where the rain was changing over to snow.
By 6:00 p.m. the precipitation had changed over to all snow in parts of the Triad including our own WFMY News 2 Weather Garden. With ground temperatures well above freezing the snow did not accumulate, but elevated surfaces did see brief accumulation during the heavier down bursts of snow.
If you were able to catch a picture or video of the snow you can send it to WFMY News 2 at email@example.com or connect with us on facebook or twitter using the hashtag #GotSnow.
