Third Suspect Wanted After Robbery, Kidnapping

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Police say they have made two arrests and are searching for third suspect after the men robbed and kidnapped a man early Sunday morning.

Officers say they responded at 6:25 a.m. to Broadstone Village Drive where a female resident said three armed men broke into her home and robbed her and her boyfriend.

She then told police the men kidnapped her boyfriend and drove away in his car.

According to Greensboro Police, they found the victim at a home address of  2214 Van Wert Street in Greensboro.  Emergency crews  took him to a local hospital.

With the help of Greensboro Police, High Point officers arrested Quentin Fortune, 27 and Demmonntray Byrd,22. Both have been charged with first degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, first degree kidnapping, and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Police are still looking for James Bumpass Jr., 25 of Greensboro. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 336-886-4000.
