GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A cold front will approach the area as we head through the second half of the week, but it looks like the rain will hold off just long enough for trick-or-treating Thursday.
As many of the areas ghosts and goblins rise for the first time Thursday morning, the sky will be variably cloudy with relatively mild temperatures in the low-middle 50s.
Cloud cover will increase through the morning and give way to a mostly cloudy sky by lunch time. Despite the additional cloud cover Thursday afternoon, temperatures will still manage to climb into the middle 70s.
An appropriately creepy breeze out of the southwest will pick up from 10-15 mph through the afternoon. That being said, a few ghosts may also produce some stronger gusts.
Around 5 p.m., temperatures will be in the low 70s before cooling into the upper 60s by 7 p.m. By 9 p.m. temperatures will be in the mid-60s.
Trick-or-treaters in the foothills may run into a few isolated showers through the evening, but most of the area should remain dry until after midnight.
Sunset will be at 6:25 p.m.
