Police: Man Gives Woman Religious Pamphlet, Robs Her In Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Police in Winston-Salem are looking for a man who kidnapped a woman and robbed her at knife point, after she says he gave her a religious pamphlet.

On Wednesday, police released surveillance pictures of the possible suspect in the case.

Officers started investigating after they responded to an armed robbery call on Summit Square Boulevard. The victim told officers she was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot when a man approached her and handed her a religious pamphlet.

A short time later, she said the same man returned, opened the driver's side door of her vehicle, pulled a knife and forced his way in her car. He then demanded she drive to an ATM and withdraw money. 

The suspect got out of the car in the 3500 block of North Patterson Avenue, the victim said. 

The woman said she was not injured during the incident.
