Police: Double Shooting Connected With Man Found In Car

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police say a male body found in a car this afternoon is connected with a double shooting that occurred Thursday morning in Burlington.

Police identified the victim as 30 year-old Edgar Elijah Standback of Greensboro.

Standback was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died. 

In a news release sent out Thursday night, Burlington Police said they responded to an apartment on Woodspring Drive at 10:36 a.m. Thursday where two men were shot.

Both men were taken to Moses Cone for treatment.

One of the victims sustained non-life threatening injuries. Police listed the other victim as in stable condition after being shot multiple times in his upper and lower extremities.

Greensboro Police and Burlington Police are working together on this investigation.
