GREENSBORO, N.C. -- High pressure has settled over the region behind a cold front that moved through the area Wednesday.
A second Arctic cold front will move across the Piedmont late Thursday and early Friday. This will bring even colder air into the area for Friday through Sunday.
Temperatures this morning have cooled into the mid and upper 30s. This means frost is likely over much of the area especially in the outlying areas away from the city. We will see a mostly sunny sky with a high of 57. Some clouds will increase during the late afternoon out ahead of the second cold front. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy. There could be a few sprinkles with a low near 37.
Friday will be mostly sunny, breezy and chilly with a high only near 53. Temperatures Friday night will dip into the upper 20s with a clear sky and lighter winds.
The weekend will be mostly sunny and cool. The high Saturday will be 57 and 62 on Sunday. The Sunday morning low will be 34.
