GREENSBORO, N.C. -- An eighth grader at Southern Guilford Middle School living with cerebral palsy was asked to suit up and play in a scrimmage.

Dustin Edmondson has been the JV football manager at Southern Middle for three years. Dustin loves sports and is very active in Special Olympics. Because of his cerebral palsy diagnosis, he cannot play on the teams at school, until now.

On Tuesday, he was asked to suit up and and play in the school's "5th quarter." It's the scrimmage time that takes place before the game to allow students to get "game-like" practice.

For Dustin, this was the chance of a lifetime, a complete surprise, and a dream come true.
