WSPD: No More Arrests Coming In Woman's Murder

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- Last Thursday, Police in Winston-Salem found a woman dead inside a house after responding to a home break-in call.

She was found after police officers were dispatched around 11:30 p.m. to the 700 block of Magnolia Street, after getting a 911 call about a break-in in progress, involving armed suspects. Investigators said information they received made them believe the suspects were still inside the house, and the SWAT Unit was activated.

After officers failed to make contact with anyone in the house, SWAT officers went inside and found a woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Detectives have identified the woman as Shelia Pace Gooden.

Three people Daniel Aaron Benson, Steven George Assimos and Anthony Vinh Nguyen were arrested and charged with: First Degree Murder, First Degree Burglary, First Degree Kidnapping and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Wednesday, Police said they don't expect to make any more arrests in the case.
