The change of the seasons is already underway.  We've seen the colors start to change and the temps come down, but once those leaves start to fall, it's time to get to work.

Right now in Greensboro, you can collect leaves and put them in a clear plastic bag.  Place these bags curbside with your regular trash, and the city will pick them up.

If you simply want to rake leaves curbside for pick up, you'll have to wait for certain collection dates.  Greensboro has two pick-up periods.  The first runs from November 12th to December 21st.  The second pick-up period starts December 23rd and wraps up January 24th.

You're encouraged to rake leaves curbside and not in the street.  If possible, try to take out all rocks, sticks and larger debris from the piles.

In Winston-Salem, leaf collection is split into quadrants.
Pick-ups start November 4th in quadrant three.  Each quadrant gets three pick up dates.  To figure out which quadrant you live in, head to this website.  Next, click on services, and plug in your address to find out when leaves will be collected.

In High Point, leaves will be collected over a 10 week period starting in the middle of November.  Leaf collection depends on what day your trash is picked up.

If your trash day is Wednesday, leaves will be picked up between November 11th to December 30th.

If Thursday is your trash day, then your leaves will be picked up between November 18th and January 13th.

Your leaves will be picked up between December 2nd and January 13th if your garbage day is Monday.

If garbage day is Tuesday, have your leaves curbside between December 9th and January 20th.
