If you've been in Winston-Salem this week, chances are you've seen the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of what is... homecoming at WSSU!
All this week the Winston-Salem State University Rams family has been celebrating its heritage.

Friday October 11, The Eliminators will be playing old school funk, R&B and Motown classics on the pedestrian mall at WSSU at 3:30 p.m. The community is invited to join alumni, students, faculty and staff for a special Homecoming celebration that will include a mini-parade at 2 p.m. featuring WSSU's famous Red Sea of Sound marching band, a pep rally and music from 3:30 until 7 p.m. Performers in addition to The Eliminators are The Reaction Band and Gav Beats. The events are free and open to the public.
In addition to the entertainment on Friday, the campus will host a Vendors Fair in the areas adjacent to the clock tower and the pedestrian mall that will feature 45 food and merchandise vendors. The Vendors Fair will be open from 4 until 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, and from 12:30 until 8 p.m. on Friday. A variety of food ranging from traditional fish and funnel cakes to jerk chicken and coco bread will be available. Merchandise vendors will be selling apparel, accessories, Greek and WSSU paraphernalia and other items.
Highlights for Saturday, October 12, include the annual Homecoming Parade in downtown Winston-Salem. This year, the parade start at 10:00 a.m and will begin at Fourth and Marshall Streets and continue down Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive to the campus.
The Homecoming football game will be at 1:30 p.m. against Johnson C. Smith University at Bowman Gray Stadium.
