NC DMV Mobile Unit Skipping Towns Because of Fair, Veteran's Day

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) --The state Division of Motor Vehicles is canceling upcoming stops by its mobile unit in Warrenton and Denton because of the upcoming N.C. State Fair and the Veteran's Day holiday.

Two stops were scheduled for Warrenton on Monday, Oct. 14 and Monday, Nov. 11. The mobile unit's next stop in Warrenton is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 9. In Denton, the mobile unit was scheduled to visit on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It will now be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The mobile unit will be on display at the fair.

DMV officials say people in Warrenton who need to take care of driver license business can go to offices in Henderson, Roanoke Rapids and Louisburg. Denton residents can travel to Asheboro, Albemarle, Lexington and Salisbury.
