Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Lowes Foods is closing three stores in North Carolina.
The grocery chain expects to close the stores located in Morganton, Spring Hope, and Scotland Neck by mid-November 2013. The stores that are closing include a Lowes Foods Store at 210 Avery Avenue in Morganton and two JustSave stores located at 807 Main Street, Scotland Neck and 516 E. Nash Street in Spring Hope.
Lowes Foods revealed employees at closing stores will be offered to work at other stores.
At the same time the grocery chain is constructing new stores in Carolina Forest and Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and a new store in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
