Greensboro, NC--High pressure at the surface and in the upper atmosphere will remain over the area through most of the weekend. This will keep warm and dry conditions over the Piedmont through Sunday.
The remnant low pressure of Tropical Storm Karen is expected to track through Central North Carolina on Monday. Rain will spread over the area Sunday night with pockets of heavier rain expected on Monday. It is still too early to forecast rainfall amounts, but a 1' to 2' rain is possible. Amounts will depend on the exact track and speed of the system. Stay tuned.
Today and Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high both days of 86. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 62. Clouds will increase on Sunday with a high of 83. There will be a chance of showers Sunday afternoon, with a more general rain spreading over the area later Sunday night and Monday.
