Greensboro--Weak high pressure over southern New England will move off the East Coast Saturday. A cold front will approach Sunday and move into the area on Monday. This will slightly increase the chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms for late Sunday and Labor Day.
Today and Saturday will be partly sunny and warm with a high of 86 today and 87 on Saturday. The isolated shower chance will be less than 20% through the period.
With the approach of the cold front, scattered the shower chance will gradually increase Sunday and Monday. There will be a 30% chance of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, increasing to a 40% chance on Labor Day. Overall the holiday weekend looks nice for all of your outdoor plans.
High temperatures will be near 87 on Sunday and Monday.
Cooler and drier air will filter into the region on Tuesday and Wednesday. High swill be in the lower 80's with lows in the lower 60's.
