GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A cold front will drift south of our area Thursday afternoon. Weak, high pressure will build into the Piedmont from the north later Thursday through Friday.
A typical August weekend will bring a small chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The weekend looks nice for outdoor plans with afternoon high temperatures in the upper 80s.
Thursday and Friday will be partly sunny with only a 20 percent chance of isolated showers today. Friday should be generally dry. High temperatures will be near 86 today and 87 on Friday.
A nice week is expected across the area. We will enjoy a mix of sun and clouds with only a 30 percent chance of a few afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms possible both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s.
A cold front will approach and bring a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday with a high in the mid 80s.
