Few Showers Through Wednesday Night, Dry Day Friday

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A surface trough of low pressure and upper-level disturbance will be the focus for any showers and thunderstorms over the area through Wednesday night. 

A cold front will move through the Piedmont Thursday morning. Weak high-pressure will build over the area for Friday. 

Wednesday we will see a 30 to 40 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Piedmont through the night. It will be variably to mostly cloudy with a high temperature of 84. The low will be 71.

Thursday we will see a mix of sun and clouds with a 20 percent chance of showers, mainly in the morning hours. The high will be 87. Friday will be a dry day with high back in the upper 80s. 

A 30 percent chance of scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will return to the Piedmont for the weekend. High temperatures for both Saturday and Sunday will be near 86.

Our normal high is 85, and our normal low is 67.
