SALISBURY, N.C. -- The adoptive parents of missing 15-year-old Erica Parsons are moving.

A report from WBTV says a U-Haul truck was parked outside of Sandy and Casey's home Tuesday. They were seen moving a refrigerator, stove, bookcases and more.

The Parsons intend to move into a family member's home, according to WBTV.

Erica went missing nearly two years ago, but her disappearance was only reported at the end of July.

Rowan County sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, searched the home for about 12 hours August 14. Warrants said they removed 68 items from the home and submitted pants, a section of drywall and floorboards with red stains to be tested for blood.

On Thursday, deputies searched a storage building that is owned by Sandy on his parents' property. They found teeth, a hammer, a video tape, pieces of a vacuum cleaner and school records, according to warrants.

When questioned, Erica's adoptive parents said she went to stay with her grandmother in Asheville, but investigators said they couldn't provide a location of that home.
