All Watauga County Schools In Session After Evacuation

BOONE, N.C. -- All Watauga County schools were evacuated Tuesday morning.

Watauga County Schools said in a statement that there was a bomb threat made against all schools. 

All students and personnel are safe, according to WCS, and each school has been inspected.

Police in Boone told WFMY News 2 their department and the school district are taking precautionary measures. 

All nine schools in the district started evacuating before 8 a.m. 

About 4,500 students are enrolled in the district.
