Triad -- The kids go back to school on Monday (if they haven't already). The last day of their summer vacation may just feel a little more like fall.
A cold front moved through on Friday night. It brought a few showers and thunderstorms but is now well south of us. Behind it is a high pressure system, which will keep us high and dry the rest of the weekend. Tonight will be a bit cool. With low humidity, temps will fall to the upper 50s- unseasonably cool for August. Sunday will prove to be another beautiful day. It will be mostly sunny with highs close to 80.
As kids and teachers go back to school on Monday, a beautiful day will await them. Highs will again be in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies.
Then, summer break will be over and the break from summer weather will also be over. Highs return to the upper 80s and low 90s from Tuesday through next weekend. The best chance of rain will come on Thursday.
