LEXINGTON, N.C. -- A man in Lexington is facing 20 counts of charges related to child pornography.
The sheriff's office said they seized computers, hard drives and other data storage drives from Donald Stuart Koontz's home on Queens Drive on Thursday. They found "numerous pornographic images involving children."
Koontz was charged with 10 counts of Felony Disseminating Obscenity and 10 counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He was placed in a Davidson County jail under a $2,025,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court September 24.
Several agencies were involved in this investigation including the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, Lexington and Thomasville police departments, North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
