GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A cold front will approach today and move through the Piedmont late Friday. Canadian high pressure will build over the Eastern U.S. and bring cooler and drier air for the weekend.
We will see variable clouds with a 40 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon and through the evening. The high will be 87. Later in the night, under a partly cloudy sky, the low will be 65.
A very nice weekend is in store for the Piedmont. Slightly cooler but much drier air will be over the region. This will produce very comfortable conditions. High both Saturday and Sunday will be in the lower 80s. Sunday morning lows will be in the upper 50s.
Our normal high temperature is 86, and our normal low is 68.
