Greensboro, NC - Police say a taxi driver in Greensboro was stabbed Saturday evening.
Greensboro Police received a call about a traffic accident and responded to the intersection of Phillips Avenue and Barto Place around 5:25 p.m., Saturday.
When they arrived, they found an unoccupied Blue Bird Taxi cab. Police say the vehicle ran off the road and hit a natural gas line but no gas leaked from the line.
A short time later, police located the driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Charles McMurray.
McMurray told authorities he was stabbed by an unknown suspect while driving the vehicle. He says that's the reason he crashed.
McMurray was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no suspect description and the investigation is ongoing.
