Greensboro-An unsettled weather patter with be over the Piedmont through Sunday night. We will have a good chance of light rain and drizzle through the period. The rain cooled air near the surface will keep high temperatures today and Sunday some 15 to 20 degree below normal for this time of year.
A stationary front will remain south and east of the Triad. Several low pressure waves will track northeastward along the front. This combined with several upper-level disturbances will produce a 70% chance of rain and drizzle today through tonight. there will be a 40% on Sunday.
The high temperatures today will be 66, with a low of 62 tonight. Sunday's high will be in the lower 70's. Our normal high temperature this time of year is 87.
As the very moist pattern begins to break down early next week, we will see a bit more sunshine. This will warm temperatures to near 80 on Monday, mid 80's on Tuesday, and back into the upper 80's by Wednesday and Thursday. Daytime heating will produce a 30% chance of scattered afternoon thunderstorms Tuesday through Thursday.
