Winston-Salem, NC-- He grew up in Forsyth County, played his high school basketball as point guard for West Forsyth and played college basketball at Wake Forest University before joining the NBA in 2005.

We are talking about Chris Paul. Most in the Winston-Salem area know him as "CP3", the 'three' because that has always been his jersey number. Paul's NBA career has been great and lucrative, but through it all, he remains humble and doesn't miss an opportunity to help the community.

Through his CP3 Foundation, Chris Paul has helped build homes via Habitat Humanity, the foundation has given away meals to families, made large food donations, and Paul has participate in numerous charity fundraisers.

Thursday night was no different for the Triad native. He was the guest speaker at the Winston-Salem Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club fundraising dinner.
