Drier Air Moves Into Triad For The New Week

Greensboro-- More showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon ahead of a cold front that's coming our way.

The storms could produce hail and damaging winds along with heavy rainfall, much like Saturday.

State of Emergency Declared In Catawba County

The cold front will slowly move across the Piedmont Sunday night before moving off the coast Monday. High pressure with drier air will build over the area for Monday and Tuesday.

Later in the week, the high pressure system will move offshore. this will allow moisture to build back over the area. showers and thunderstorms will arrive back in the Piedmont by Wednesday and Thursday.

The high temperature today will be 82, warming to near 84 by Monday and Tuesday.

Our normal high temperature is 88, and our normal low is 69.
