Police: Man Shot Outside Greensboro Inn

Greensboro, NC -- A 28-year-old man is in the hospital, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds, after an early morning shooting.

Police were dispatched to the Homestead Lodge on E. Carteret St. at 4:40 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found the victim, Michael A. Chapman.

Detectives say the shooting happened at the Comfort Inn on Lanada Road. Chapman told police the suspect shot him in his vehicle. Chapman says he was then able to drive to the Homestead Lodge where police found him.

Paramedics transported Chapman to a hospital for treatment.
