Greensboro, NC -- The wife of Libby Hill Seafood Restaurant's founder has died.
Libby Hill announced Saturday Elizabeth Conrad died.
Justin Conrad told WFMY News 2 in a previous interview that Libby Hill was named after his grandmother, Elizabeth.

In a statement, the restaurant said, "Elizabeth was a mother, grandmother, and friend to all of us. While we will greatly miss Elizabeth, Her acts of kindness and daily examples of caring will remain with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with her surviving family, her extended family of Libby Hill employees past and present, and with the countless lives she influenced for good."
Luke Conrad opened the first Libby Hill Seafood Restaurant in 1953 in Greensboro. The original location was at the corner of Battleground Avenue and New Garden Road, that location was moved two blocks up to Battleground and Cotswald Avenues.
The restaurant is still run by the Conrad family, and is in its third generation, according to the restaurant.
There are currently nine Libby Hill Seafood Restaurants; eight in North Carolina and one in Virginia.
