Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro Police are crediting the members of the Westerwood neighborhood watch program for helping them capture a burglary suspect.

Police believe Stuart Allen Davis robbed 2 homes in the Westerwood community on Tuesday, July 9th. Then, they say he robbed 2 apartments several days later.

WFMY News 2 spoke to the neighborhood watch captain, Gail Barger. She says she teaches her neighbors to always pay attention and to try to remember things about a suspicious person in the area.

Those descriptions could be the driving force to an arrest. Greensboro Police told us, residents gave a great description of the suspect and his vehicle. They believed he was driving a red pick-up truck.

Police arrested him in his red pick-up truck on Spring Garden Street in Greensboro on Friday, July 12th.

Police encourage anyone interested in starting a neighborhood watch to visit their website for more information.

  • 3 counts of possession of stolen property
  • 4 counts of obtaining property under false pretenses
  • 6 counts of injure to real property
