Greensboro Police Arrest Man With Semiautomatic Handgun

Greensboro, NC -- Monday evening while Greensboro Police officers were patrolling along 16th Street near Caesar Street, they saw a group of five people walking in the roadway, disrupting traffic.

Officers stopped to investigate the situation and discovered that one of the individuals, Michael A. King, 21, had a semiautomatic handgun concealed on him. According to the police report, when the officer tried to remove the gun from King's pocket, King grabbed the officer's hand and tried to keep him from removing the weapon.

King was place under arrested without further incident and the gun was seized by police.

King faces charges for Carrying a Concealed Gun, Impeding Traffic and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
