Hope Mills, NC -- The town of Hope Mills is considering more rules for parades after a float in last week's Independence Day parade prompted complaints.

According to CBS affiliate, WRAL, a man drove a tractor in the parade that had a sign saying "White History Month - Hug Wht Ppl." There was also a Confederate flag on the float.

City officials have received complaints about the float. WRAL reached out to the owner of the float for comment, but have not heard back.
