Greensboro, NC -- A pregnant woman is lucky to be alive after she wrecked on Highway 29 in Greensboro, Friday morning.
According to Trooper Ingram with the NC Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Montia Peele was driving south on Highway 29 when the tire on the right front driver side came off the car. This caused Peele to run off the road and hit a sign before she came to a stop.
Peele told the investigating trooper that she had new brakes put on the car on Thursday. Peele was transported to Cone Hospital as a precaution, Trooper Ingram said.
Ingram said Peele told investigators she is pregnant, but didn't say how far along she is in the pregnancy.
