Thomasville, N.C. -- The parents of a 4-month-old baby are thankful for the actions of two Thomasville Police officers who saved their child.

June 12, officer Joshua Wolfe and officer Brent McDowell responded to a call for help in reference to a baby who was not breathing. The officers found baby Hunter Hockett without a pulse and at the time he was not breathing. The officers performed CPR for six minutes and Hunter's pulse returned and he started to breathe again. EMS workers arrived and took Hunter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where he was treated and released.

The parents say Hunter is doing great.

The two officers will be honored at a ceremony on Tuesday, July 16 at 3:00 p.m. It will be held in the council chambers of the Thomasville Police Department on 7 West Guilford Street.
