WINSTON-SALEM - Police and firefighters found a balance between love and competition Wednesday night.
The officers took the court against the firefighters to help families who lost everything.
"It's the finest against the bravest," firefighter Jonathan Butler said. "So it's a bragging right thing. You know, it's fun, but it gets pretty competitive out there. And both sides want to win."
Both departments collected non-perishable food, toiletries and toys for families displaced by fires.
