Lexington, NC-- It took investigators from several different law enforcement agencies to arrest her, but officers said they have arrested a woman who set a house on fire to collect insurance money.
According to Davidson County Sheriff David Grice, the fire happened on May 4 on Lower Lake Rd in Thomasville. Firefighters from two stations responded to the house fire just after midnight. Investigators ruled the house a total loss.
During their investigations, Detectives said they believe that Corrina Marie King intentionally set the fire to obtain an insurance settlement. Grice didn't release any other details in the case but did say that more arrests are possible.
Other agencies involved in the investigation are: Davidson County Fire Marshal, NC Department of Insurance, Thomasville Police Department, NC Probation and Parole.
