WEST, TX - Two months after an explosion that felt like a 2.1 magnitude eathquake in West, TX, volunteers fromm Alamance County are helping out.
The fertilizer plant explosion destroyed 75 homes, an apartment complex and a school. 15 people died.
Volunteers from the Baptist Temple of Alamance County took pictures as they worked in the town. They were fixing roofs, cleaning and repairing air conditioners.
After the fertilizer plant explosion, the 911 center scrambled to handle more than 1,000 calls. The operators were honored at a convention in Charlotte Monday.
